The Sisal
The Sisal
Sisal is a large Mexican plant similar to yucca that is used for fiber. The Sisal tote is perfect for the beach, pool, patio, storage, picnic, grocery store or farmers market. Created in Madagascar by a collective of five workshops in the region of Manjakatompo, the sisal is locally grown and harvested, purchased by the collective, dyed, shaped and woven. Each bag has a zip inner pocket, with flap pocket and drawstring top, and features a leather draw cord, a wood button, leather and sisal handles and leather piping.
The bags are large enough to fit several towels, lotions, books and water bottle.
Carol S. Miller donates a portion of profits from each Sun Bag to La Maison D’Aina, where the bags are made to help rural families.
Each bag is handcrafted from natural fibers, and there may be a slight variation in size.
The bags come in several colors: Blue, Natural, Orange, Pink, Green, Red
Available in both a large and extra large size.
